Openluchtmuseum Arnhem II
Ook in het Openluchtmuseum: een West-Fries washuis..
~
Another building from the Arnhem Open Air Museum. this is a washing house from the North of the Province of Holland, an area called West-Friesland. The museum is a great inspiration for building and terrain modellers, as you can see, feel (and in this case smell) and touch period houses.
Unfortunatly there aren't many 17th century 25mm buildings with realistic brickwork and as a note to modellers and designers: dutch bricks for houses are and were smaller than in the UK (logically a brick should fit in a man's hand) and HO train scale bricks are quite convincing actually.
