Hendrik Kasimir II

Tja, da's ook wat: het vaandel links boven is van de Friese Stadhouder Hendrik Kazimier II, en werd net als het andere vaandel veroverd door de Fransen in de bloedige slag van Fleurus in 1690. Wel interessant dat het wapen van de Stadhouder weer afwijkt van andere afbeeldingen. ~


The two flags, taken from the low res version on the website of the Dutch Army museum from the Ten Raa collection, were captured at the bloody battle of Fleurus, 1690, where the French cavalry smashed through the dutch cavalry and causes death and destruction next on the infantry. In the left hand corner you can see the weapon of the Frisian Stadholder, but it differs from other known weaponsm which caused me to think it might be an Utrecht flag which is badly copied, but the other flag looks correct, so that wasn't an option.
